Amish Banana Bread Recipe
1 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Margarine
1/3 cup Water
2 Eggs
½ tsp Salt
1-2/3 cup Flour
1-1/2 cups Bananas, ripe
¼ tsp Baking powder
¼ tsp Baking soda
½ cup Chopped nuts
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of pan. Mix sugar and
margarine in 2-1/2 qt bowl, stir in eggs until blended. Add bananas
and water; beat for 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients, except
for nuts. After blended, fold in nuts. Pour into pan and bake until
toothpick comes out clean from center. Cool for 5 minutes, then
remove the loaf from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
