Amish Shoo-Fly Pie Recipe
2 – 9” Pie shells
1 Egg, slightly beat
1 cup Dark molasses
1 cup Brown sugar
1 tsp Soda
½ tsp Salt
Mix sugar, molasses, egg, soda and flour. Add 2 cups of boiling
water. Pour into an unbaked pie shell.
Crumb Topping:
2 cups Flour
1 cup Brown sugar
½ cup Shortening
1 tsp Soda
1 pinch Salt
Mix all crumb topping ingredients well and sprinkle over liquid in pie
shells. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
