Baltic, Ohio
Looking for excellent water supply, Pennsylvania Germans founded Baltic, Ohio in the early 1800’s. The town’s first name was Rowville, then in 1847 was changed to Buena Vista which means, “beautiful view.” Then, in 1903 the village was again renamed Baltic. The Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad helped to form Baltic in 1880, as many of its residents helped with the construction of it. Today, Baltic Mills is one of the state’s oldest flour and feed mills.
